A few answers as to how TimeMachines® digital network clock applications can help you and/or your company.

Are TM clocks just simple clocks?
No. They do so much more when put on a network.

Can TM clocks synchronize time?
YES. NTP (Network Time Protocol(opens in new tab)) is used to synchronize these clock displays throughout your network, whether WiFi or PoE, we've got you synced up.

Can TM clocks show the current date?
YES. All of our models can alternate between displaying either time or date or systematically alternating between the two.

Can TM clocks be used as a count-up/count-down timer?
YES. You can manage all of your TimeMachines® devices independently, within select groups, or all together to use the various date, time, and count up/count down timer features. TimeMachines® keeps things synchronized, yet flexible to meet your needs.

How can TM clock displays help me and/or my organization?
Clocks, dates, timers, and messages. The flexibility of these network timing devices can really streamline and improve the efficiency of your workplace. Our customers use these clocks for multiple reasons, but the most common are to count up or count down for a specific period of time. The health and fitness industry uses them for interval training purposes.

Can I add a 1-line message to my network clock that scrolls left to right?
YES. You'll be interested in our time-zone dot matrix clocks/timers. The second row/bottom text area can be input with basic text, or you can add an API to pull information in real time.
API examples: The stock market, how many e-commerce orders you have, weather info., etc.

PoE/WiFi Clock Applications can be used by libraries, health & fitness gyms, schools, broadcast studios, manufacturing facilities, hospitals, police and public safety offices, government and military agencies, and corporate offices, among many more.

PoE Clock Displays:

The PoE clock displays require a connection to a PoE (Power over Ethernet) enabled LAN (Local Area Network) through a Cat5 Ethernet cable. The power for these clocks is managed through the LAN with either a PoE switch, or a PoE injector. Ask your IT specialist if you have a powered LAN, as there is no other way to provide power to these units. If you do not have a PoE enabled LAN, then you can purchase a PoE injector from TimeMachines® as an accessory.

Setup for the PoE clock displays is quick and simple - just plug in a powered Ethernet cable and ensure it’s connected to an active network. Once it is synced, it will display the same time as your network time source and all of your other TimeMachines® clock displays. It really is that easy!

WiFi Clock Displays:

The WiFi clock displays have two options for sourcing synchronized time. Powered by a 12v DC power supply (included), you can use the built in WiFi connectivity with the included magnetic mount antenna, or you can connect the clock to the IP network with a Cat5 Ethernet cable. To utilize the WiFi capabilities, the wireless LAN signal must be able to reach the device. These WiFi devices work only on a 2.4GHz frequency band and support Open, WPA, or WPA2 w/ pre-shared keys. (NOTE: WPA2 Enterprise is NOT supported) Due to the variation in WiFi systems and coverage, TimeMachines® recommends location and compatibility testing prior to a bulk purchase. PoE is NOT supported on WiFi models.
